Pain Management- Pain Relief (PT1)

Pain Relief -PT1-MQ
Following the Story of the Triple Accident
and the Very Painful resulting consequences
as detailed in:

Malassezia Caused Oedema and Bruising – PT1
Malassezia Caused Oedema and Bruising – PT2
Malassezia Caused Oedema and Bruising – PT3

I shall now devote this Entry to the additional ways
i addressed Pain and Kidney Inflammation
and Recovery of  Pelvic – Spine and related areas

while observing effects on Malassezia rapid built up.

As i have mentioned in the above Entries
some measures produced a somewhat slow, gradual
improvement in the related areas of Inflammation
and a miraculous Resurrection by my Man’s dedicated
daily Head-Spine-Foot Massage, but no effect from any
or All combined, on Malassezia pace of spreading
except in  the areas i could reach
and take care myself as usually… or almost so.

Looking at the Photos below one can see how much
Nerve ‘Cabling’ goes through Spine and Pelvic area

Pelvic 1

Also Below the Kidney and Pelvic Cabling connection

Pelvic 2

And how Inflammation in One area can Affect the Other
(often being the cause of or starting as Lower back pain)

Inflammation

Pain Relief Aids

After the First week of unbearable unrelenting intensity of Pain
and near total immobility, during which my Man took work leave
to stay at home and look after me, i thought it was time for some
drastic measures to speed the process rather than waiting
for it all to subside on its own accord.

For a near Decade before the Malassezia saga started and during
the initial stages -when not yet knowing much about it-
i had been using extensively  TEN machines – several models
–as described in a Malassezia Blog / Treatments Entry
and had found a terrific aid for so many ailments and areas
such as Minor Aches and Pains, Stiffness, temporary Arthritis
Relaxation, Massage, Circulation, Kidney Relief, Fluid Retention.

I could not establish its effectiveness on Malassezia, though
for the simple reason that i did not know back then its attraction
to Adhesives, Glue, Grease, Oils, Creams, Lotions etc.
and consequently to the area the Electrode Pads were attached
So in the end when i finally learned and established through
Research and Hard Personal Experience, its Lipophilic nature
i was forced to give the T / machine up and pack it away.

TENSE MACHINE-MQ

Being desperate though now to relieve the Pain
i retrieved it again to give it a try, only to find
neither channel worked either by battery or electricity
and neither could i find  a replacement of this  model
as there were no Suppliers.

I had a smaller back up of a 3A Battery and Electricity one
but it was neither strong nor of good quality- and did nothing.
So until i could search and find an equivalent replacement
i resorted in purchasing a simple Foot Spa, with inbuilt Massager
and hoped for some partial relief even if temporary.

Foot Spa -MQ

It was good for refreshing and relieving briefly
the burning and stretching pressure of the Feet

     Malassezia and Bruising Recovery N-MQ

but soon i had to give up the massage option as it stirred
Malassezia activity and finally i decided the effort of
setting it, filling it, emptying it etc was too much extra work
at a time my Man was doing absolutely everything for me
so i gave it up altogether…

In the meantime, i could not find equal quality replacement
for my TENS machine and it appeared there was something
New on offer – i.e The INTERFERENTIAL types of Machines
similar but -supposedly- more effective than the TENS ones.
Different Brands, Strengths and Qualities too
and NO available People Feedback for advice.
This is one good reason i am addressing it here,
more as Feedback for the Type of machine
for those seeking Pain Relief or management
even though it too presents the same issues with Malassezia
as the TENS machines, having to use Adhesive Electrode pads.

To Read First: Malassezia Caused Oedema and Bruising – PT1”
Malassezia Caused Oedema and Bruising – PT2

So we started the Treatment and what followed was as
astonishing as in some Previous occasions when
Treatment brought Live Creature against Live Creature
locked into Collision and Combat
(One Mighty Helpful – the Other Mighty Evil)

Every evening my Man’s task was to

Apply Acidophilus Mix on each Leg
from below the Knee area right down to my Toes.
Then Cover the Top of each Foot with a Cotton Wad
  soaked through with Acidophilus Mix
Wrap each Big Toe with Cotton Wad
  also soaked through with AMix
Secure with a Long Strip of Cloth or Gauze
Put on a pair of Tight Socks

I had to use some of his old motorcycle boot socks
because my feet were too swollen and painful, near impossible
to squeeze into any pair of mine no matter how old or stretched.

And then came the Test and Verification -the War had started
as i had anticipated – but not the way i had expected it…

Within 2 Minutes from Application, there was Response!
My Legs started to Sting as if bitten by dozens of Wasps
and Jerking with uncontrollable Spasms.
Muscles Pushed and Pulled Repeatedly in Painful Cramps
while the Skin Surface Burned like Acid Fire eating into
the flesh – On and On and On for a Full 15’- 20’ minutes.

This Torture was repeated Night after Night after Night
and for the first Three weeks nothing else happened.
No visible or felt change other than the Painful and
uncomfortable battle between Malassezia and Acidophilus.
Then all suddenly the battle duration started to get shorter
and shorter down to 5 mins and the Swelling to decrease fast.
It took approximately 6 Full Weeks at least with still some
resistant puffy pockets remaining and several persistent
attempts of new batches – dealt and stopped by the A Mix.

Then a Blessed morning …or should i say my Blessed Man
just before departing for wok, lingered and then went
behind my chair and gave me a quick head massage!
And from the next morning onwards he established
a longer head and back massage routine.
Within a few days this started to produce what every other
treatment had failed to the date, i.e miraculous, unbelievable
Fast and Lasting results of Pelvic, Spine and Kidney Recovery
and consequently Pain Relief and a Lazarus resurrection
into walking and wheeling the wheelchair as well as resuming
some of my personal care and even duties.
I could finally raise the armchair footrest and thus my feet
rapidly returning back to their normal Cinderella size.

Lets not get too carries away though…
There is No ‘Forever After’ with Malassezia.
Just a Daily Maintenance Routine achieving and ensuring
minimal presence and activity for 95% of the Body
with reduced chances and miniscule casualties
for the more vulnerable –difficult to access–areas
with the occasional nasty surprises of evil
done during sleep.

And now we come to the Under Skin Bruising
resembling the Blood Vessel Bursting Ones:
I Do bruise easily so i am quite familiar with the look, feel
and duration of the different types depending on the area
of occurrence – and have never attributed any of them
to Malassezia as i had no reason or indication to do so.
This one though, shown in the photo below, which was taken
at a much later stage well in the recovery stages, felt and looked
suspiciously a piece of its work but i had no way of verifying.

Malassezia and Bruising1 -MQ

The widespread drying Orange-Gray Biofilm on the Toes
and Top of the Foot is obvious but there was no other specific
indication that the bruise was created from underneath the skin
by Malassezia invasion. Then i had an idea:
I enlarged the Photo and made it lighter for clearer viewing
and there was waiting a great revelation
-the detail that served as the specific indication.
The very familiar Malassezia Lesion ‘Cheesy Center!’
                                A Triple one!
               (Green arrows in Photo below.)

Malassezia and Bruising2 -MQ

This of course was an extreme situation due to circumstances
both in regards to the Degree of Swelling as well as the Blood Bruise.

Below Two Stages of Swelling Recovery
                            (1- 2) early – 3 later stage.

Malassezia Caused Oedema and Bruising – PT2

Malassezia caused Oedema -Bruising 2-MQ (HTML)
To Read First: “Malassezia Caused Oedema and Bruising – PT1”

Before a following display of unbelievable photos
i must give a brief account of how things got there.
I say brief –as is possible to condense a story
stretched over several months – because i have already
written, also as briefly as can possibly be,
in an earlier Entry in the Malassezia Daily site.

A Triple Home Accident starting with an Unexpected
– to allow Body Cushioning and Support – Cough
caused a Pelvic Muscle Pull and Inflammation
followed by Tripping over a quad Cane i borrowed
as a result of the first incident.
Lost balance and bounced on the wall,
further aggravating the condition,
followed right after by a Slip in the Bath,
rendering me in a Wheelchair with Agonising Pain
and almost total Immobility for several months,
during which i was unable to take care of myself
and apply properly the Daily Maintenance Routine.

I was also unable, due to intensity of Pain, to raise
my Chair’s Footrest to keep my feet off the ground
and minimise Malassezia traffic in the area
at a time that was easier to reach Timbuktu
rather than my feet or anywhere below knee level.

Not wanting to load  my man with additional tasks
than he had already shouldered and believing
i would improve within a week or two and be able
to take care of myself, i watched Malassezia
moving there and establishing itself steadily
building a problem that i could have never anticipated
or imagined possible.
The Photos below hardly need any explanations

Within just over a couple of weeks
Going from a Normal Size feet as this

Malassezia on Feet- MQ

To an enormous size like this!….
( Noting the photos were taken at a later Recovery stage – not at Peak)

Leg and Feet Swelling 1 -MQ

No need to elaborate about Pain Discomfort and Stretched out Skin
They are Obvious yet hard to imagine unless one has been there.
Neither about All efforts and ways trying to Reverse the condition
or Prevent the Progression that did not prove successful in this area
while unable to apply the One i knew for sure would work.
Maybe in a future Entry i may detail success in the other areas
such as Pelvic and Pain relief which involved Product Purchasing.

Here I shall explain how i arrived at certainty
that Puffiness and Swelling were caused by Malassezia
built up under the Skin rather than Kidney /Heart
or resulting Uric acid crystal accumulation
due to the severity of the Pelvic Inflammation
as initially my Man and I thought it to be
-and as the most reasonable explanation:

1- As always, i could feel the beast spreading, burning, itching
crawling and going through all its usual so familiar sensations.

2- There was Redness (Purple arrows below)
and abundant Orange Biofilm spread, (Orange arrows)
on Leg, Foot and Toes, initially sticky light orange
then drying up and turning grayish and flaky

Leg and Feet Swelling2-MQ
3- My Kidneys started to Respond to the Other Treatments
    and Function improved considerably
-assessment supported by many signs such as:
Reduced feeling of Nausea and aversion to drinking water
Improving Appetite
Improving Digestion
Increasing Urine Output
Clearer head (previously dull, hazy and feeling waterlogged)
and General Body Pain and Movements aslo improved,
while Legs and Feet seemed to be going
quite the opposite direction and kept Ballooning up
to Dangerous levels of Skin Stretching, to the point
that despite my resolve not to burden my Man
with more than he was already doing for/ and because of me
i had to ask his help for the Only Treatment capable of success.

I knew by now without doubt, that all the evil result
down my Legs and Feet had nothing to do with
Heart or Kidneys fluid built up. It was All Malassezia!

The final test and Proof to this would be – not only in the result
but in Immediate -IF Any- Response in the area:
I said to my Man – who was still believing and worried
about a Heart and Kidney connection- that if it was so,
neither the Fluid of the Oedema nor if it was Uric Acid
would respond to the application of Acidophilus Mix,
since neither was alive or could be affected
              while  Malassezia would
-as a live organism against another-
and from several previous experiences of results
of Acidophilus and Malassezia confrontations as in
‘Malassezia – Acidophilus Round 2 & The 8 Hour Kill?’
and Malassezia – Vibration and Sound

Malassezia Caused Oedema and Bruising – PT1

Malassezia caused Oedema -Bruising 1-MQ (HTML)

K3- “Malassezia and bruising” – (PT1)

I am not sure if by ‘Bruising’ the Reader means an area on the Body
feeling ‘Bruised’ on touch or Blood vessel type of Bruising.
If the former then Yes! …
Malassezia does cause this sensation when it overcrowds
a particular area, in which case depending on the area

1- It may look puffed up, much like oedema as in first Photo below.

Malassezia caused Swelling -MQ

2- It may look Red and feel burning and sensitive to the touch
like under the Nails, near Cuticles and on Finger tips as Below

Malassezia and Bruising 3 -MQ

Green Arrows show ‘Live Specs’ of Yeast

3- It may look like a Blood vessel-burst Bruise, as Purple circled below

Malassezia caused Swelling 2-MQ

Blood Bruising, under the Skin is not something i had encountered
during the past 5 years other than very small pimple sized ones
where failed to erupt into Lesions. The usual is on Surface
where the skin is corroded and exposed when a Lesion is formed.

All until this -not so recent now- incident and developments

Malassezia and Bruising -MQ

The Story attached to the above photo is coming in Next Entry
with details about events that followed a Triple Accident at home
that took place a number of months back
and what Malassezia did when left uninterrupted
been unable to fully implement Daily Maintenance
in inaccessible, due to pain, areas of my Body.

The Morgellons Confusion

The Morgellons Confusion -MQ
Q1- “mogllon is fungus malezzia”
It appears Morgellons is more widely known
due to general public confusion, than Malassezia is.
The Keyword above and the ones below
will illustrate what i mean by confusion:
Q2- “what is morgellons demodex mites”
Q3- “morgellons lice whats difference
         between lice and morgellons”
Q4- “morgellons candida
Q5- “was medusas hair morgellons” ****
The words in green, indicate creatures in their own right
medically identified and recognised, including Malassezia,
while Morgellons has yet to get there …
I am not refuting its existence but i am not in a position
to accept or reject, other than on personal level
until it is officially done by Medicine.
Q5- “was medusas hair morgellons”
I believe this Keyword refers to my Entry in Malassezia Blog
Malassezia Hyphae: Bloodsucking Medusas
The Reader is in a Malassezia site reading and looking
at a Malassezia Photo yet asks if the Hyphae ( hair)

is … Morgellons!…

Medusa-MQ

 ‘I rest my case!’ 🙂

Q6- can morgellons be mistaken for lice
I would be more inclined to put this question in the Reverse:
Can Lice be mistaken for Morgellons?…
Lice is a Parasite while Morgellons is a bunch of symptoms
created by … ‘something’ either existing and confused as Morgellons
or Something not yet fully or officially identified or recognised.

K1- “treatment for morgellons eye infection”
I wonder if this was a similar case to the ‘Medusas hairs’ entry
Reader intending to reach the Three Blepharitis Entries
Malassezia~Dealing with Chronic Blepharitis (PT1)
It is hard to tell which keywords were entered inside the Site
and which ones were keyed-in in external Search engines.

K2- “morgellons paper cuts”
A classic case of Malassezia mistaken for Morgellons?
I have mentioned in some earlier entries that some people
believing their symptoms are Morgellons while they may in reality
be Malassezia. Paper cuts are a characteristic Malassezia Symptom.

K2- “morgellon’s in intestines”
K3- “morgellons in vagina”
K4- “morgellons hair parasites”
K5- “morgellons lesions on the scalp”
K6- “morgellons lesions on buttocks”
K7- “near infra red morgellons”
K8- “cream of tartar morgellons”
This Entry in Malassezia Daily might be helpful
Morgellons&Demodex Symptoms-Malassezia Solutions

K9-“morgellons and the end of imes”
‘Morgellons and the end of T-imes’
Quite an Interesting Keyword…
I wonder what the Prophet had in mind
– Oops! …i meant the Reader! Lol! 🙂

K10- “mupirocin morgellons”
I am sure this keyword was not meant for any of my Sites
unless the Reader was already in one of them
and inserted the keyword in the Site’s Search area.
I don’t know much about it so i Googled Mupirocin
and this is what i found.

“mupirocin cannot be used for extended periods of time,
or indiscriminately, as resistance does develop
and could, if it becomes widespread,
destroy mupirocin’s value as a treatment for MRSA.
It may also result in overgrowth of non-susceptible organisms.”

One Night with Malassezia

Night with Malassezia -MQ
             K1- “one night with Malassezia”
This Keyword had been used quite some time back.
It appears to have resurfaced again on a frequent basis.
Either the Reader liked my Earlier humorous addressing it
or has been using it as a way to land in the Site
to continue reading on Related to it Entries…
Quite Nice whatever the case! 🙂

For those not familiar with what a Night with Malassezia entails
                            i shall say briefly:

Whoever has a Night with Malassezia, one things is guaranteed;
they wake up in the Morning – IF they have slept at all!-
                             Looking like this:

Night with Malassezia-MQ

Photo Re-Blogged from: Fresh-out-of-the-shower-and-ready-for-another-day

             On a Serious note:

Malassezia being active at Night
becomes one … generous Insomnia Contributor…

Prior to falling asleep, many people,
some knowing they have Malassezia
-and many unsuspecting and yet to discover-
experience Restless Leg Syndrome
– a Sign of Malassezia Congested Colon –
as well as general Restlessness throughout the night.

There is a Two Part dedicated Entry
dealing with Ways to Improving Sleep

Malassezia and Sleepless Nights (PT1) – & (PT2)

I have applied these methods myself for a number of months
and have been enjoying a full 6-7 hours sleep every night
despite bathroom visits, so i guarantee they work
if one is willing to make the necessary changes.

            K2- “Malassezia in Tooth”
If Malassezia attacks the Lips and often the tongue and sides
of the mouth, it is not surprising it spreads on the teeth as well.

Sores on Lips1 -MQ

I remember many years back during a Dentist visit
my mouth was salivating liberally and he said:
“I m guessing you must be eating lots of Sugars”
He was right; back then i was a very young ignorant Sugar addict.
I felt highly embarrassed as if he knew my addiction, which
i was trying to curb with repeatedly failed promises to myself
till the day i had an epiphany that changed my whole Life
but that’s another story for my Defining Pathways Blog…. soon…

This embarrassment served to remember his comment
and in recent times i have often wondered whether it is the
rich saliva and presence of sugars –Only Fresh Fruit these days!-
that attract Malassezia to the mouth. It strongly appears so.
I have also noticed that during periods of colds or flu and high
temperatures when there is a feel of dehydration and dry mouth
that my Teeth look like coated with an Orange Film
(The very familiar Malassezia Sticky Biofilm!)
I have taken recently to brushing my teeth immediately after
having a Fruity meal and noticed a marked difference in its
presence around the mouth, compared with my brushing
a little later in order to enjoy the Fruity taste a bit longer.

I must be clear here: Toothpaste does Not kill Malassezia.
It helps remove some of the Biofilm off the teeth
and washing and rinsing the mouth reduces any sugar presence
which also helps reduce its attraction to the area.

A View into Candida Albicans

Candida Albicans -MQ

There are a Number of Good Reasons
for an entry devoted to Candida Albicans research:

1- As Part of General Research on Related Topics
2- As a Yeast with many Similar -if not identical-
    to Malassezia Symptoms
3- It is as much of a problem causing affliction
to as many People as Malassezia – if not even more
and possibly some of the Readers may be dealing
     with Candida rather than Malassezia
4- My personal interest  in learning about it, even though
my Medical results, which i do not trust, were negative,
so that i can compare and perhaps benefit to some degree.
5- Having come across 2 informative entries
i believe will be of interest and benefit to many Readers
and of which i shall Re-blog excerpts below
with accompanying Links for those interested
    in reading the complete versions.

Needless to say that having no direct exposure
or personal experience of either its Symptoms
or Treatments, i rely on research sources and publications
of which i am not in a position to confirm accuracy.
I am presenting here what i find interesting and learning
about it myself. Its Malassezia Sister is a different story
because i know intimately its Ins and Outs… literally! Lol!

                                    About Candida
Candida is Part of our Body’s Flora but like Malassezia
turns to an Opportunistic Pathogen when the immune system
cannot control its proliferation.
It is capable of invading any site of the human body,
from deep tissues to organs, such as heart, lungs, kidneys
esophagus, genitals, digestive track as well as skin and nails.

The Oral Infection is called Thrush and affects the mouth
The Vaginal Yeast Infection is called Vaginitis
Candida Penis Infection does not appear to have a name
and neither does the Intestinal track one.
Onychomycosis is the term when it affects the Nails.
Candida causes Oral Thrush and Nappy Rash to Infants
( and i suspect digestive disturbances as well…)

Morphological Characteristics

Candida Morpho-MT

At the end of the video one can see a few elongated cells
developing into Hyphae.

Excerpts Below Re-Blogged from Candida Albicans – Alcohol and Sugars…

Today a brief summary of the sugars in our diet and the similarity between sugar’s effect on the body, and that of ethanol, the active ingredient in alcohol beverages. Candida is a yeast and thrives on sugars – but the worst offenders are not natural sugars but those contained within our processed foods. To understand the role of these sugars you need to become aware of the impact of every mouthful you ingest on one of the most important organs of the body including the liver which is the guardian of our health.
………………………………
We tend to eat and drink mindlessly – it is all about the taste and the immediate gratification or even high. When we are young we rarely think of long-term consequences of our actions. However, our over consumption of sugars in our daily diet and the current binge drinking culture in some of our countries, is going to manifest in a great many health problems. Not just those in middle to old age, but for a younger and younger generation.
Why is your liver so important?
What happens to the liver when you consume either ethanol or sugar?
Should you eat fruit and drink alcohol if you have an overgrowth of Candida?

Below Excerpts of: The opportunistic pathogen lurking in 70% of us…

What happens to Candida to allow it to take over?

If Candida yeast is allowed to grow unchecked, it changes from its normal yeast fungal form to a mycelial fungal form that produces rhizoids. These long, root-like components are capable of piercing the walls of the digestive tract and breaking down the protective barriers between the intestines and the blood. This breakthrough allows many allergens to enter the blood stream causing allergic reactions. Mucus is also formed around major organs and in the lining of the stomach. This prevents your digestive system from functioning efficiently. The result is poorly digested food and wasted nutrients. Your body begins to suffer a deficiency of these nutrients and it leads to chronic fatigue, an impaired immune system and disease.

Malassezia – Yeast or Fungous?

Yeast or Fungous -MQ

Q1 – “Difference between Yeast and Malassezia”

Malassezia is Both Yeast and Fungus.
Being too small and imperceptible by the naked eye
it is hard to tell with certainty what the difference is
between its Yeast Form and its Fungal/Hyphal Form
other than what can be seen under Microscope
or the Severity of Symptoms.

Malassezia Smell
This does not mean that the Yeast does not develop Hyphae
as is evident bellow and in the Photos of my own Samples.

Yeast Hyphae
With the Caution in mind that i am not a qualified scientist
– not to mention the fact that Malassezia appears to be a source
of confusion even among the Qualified ones- i will say that
from observation of Both
– My Sample Photos –viewed under Microscope- and
– Severity of Symptoms (Significantly Changed)
it appears that the Yeast forms Smaller Hyphae
and Some of the Symptoms such as the Lesions
are not as Severe or as extensive as in the Fungal form.
This of course could be only my personal experience
based and as a result of treatments and methods i use
and may not be true to other people in regards
to severity of Symptoms, but not sure if this would also
apply to the size of the Hyphae as well.

Q2 – “can malassezia cause odor”

Yes, it has a very characteristic Smell.
Actually i have identified three different ones.
One when in the initial stages of its development
one when it dies Internally – known as ‘Die Off ’–
and one when the Biofilm actually starts to dry and die externally.
The First one is a peculiar Sour type of smell like something
has gone off and not very perceptible to other people.
I also believe it may vary slightly from person to person
depending on their skin, perspiration and personal body smell, etc.
Perhaps this is what Van Abb describes as Fruity
-I m guessing a Researcher with a funny sense of smell –
as it smells nothing anywhere near fruity at all…

Malassezzia Fruity-MQ

The Second one may also be varying depending on individuals’
diet and Internal Canal condition. Lucky not have smelled
anyone else’s but mine is a very characteristic
rotting fishy sewerage …with a ‘freshly… dead’ hint to it.

The Third one is Common To Practically Everyone.
I have smelled it on My Man, Myself and Numerous Strangers
both Men and Women of Different age groups from Teens
to Elderly – many more elderly than the younger groups.

Ash

It smells strongly like Ash left in ashtray for days but without
the cigarette pang – much like dead skin burned to Ashy stage.
Very Pungent …

Q4 –  “can black walnut kill malassezia parasite”

When i first read this question my mind had a spontaneous reply:
‘The black plague cannot kill Malassezia’
Nevertheless i better return to a more sensible civilised mode
and say i have tried black walnut leaves for some time
but… i don’t need to say more do I?…
Anyone who has read carefully though my Bogs would know why.

Malassezia – Internal or External ?

Malassezia Internal or External -MQ
Q1 “is malassezia internal or external”

Malassezia is Both Internal and External
Internal as in the Intestinal Track and Vagina
And External as on Skin, Practically every area on Body

Malassezia in Faecal-Vaginal Samples S-MQ
Photos above show Malassezia in Faecal(1) and Vaginal (2) Samples
                 and Below Malassezia on Fingertips

Malassezia Fungus on Finger Tips 1-MQ

Q1-2  “is malassezia internal or external” (2)
Another way to look at this question is, as
 Is Malassezia Endogenous or Exogenous

Endogenous:
1- having an internal cause or origin
2- growing or originating from within an organism.
 Exogenous:
1- having an external cause or origin.
2- growing or originating from outside an organism

I am not sure if Researchers have established firmly whether
Malassezia is Endogenous or Exogenous or Both.
The Info i have read while researching has been suggesting
exogenous as being airborne, but recently while searching
for something i came across an article referring to it as
‘…therefore indication is, it is Endogenous…”
unfortunately i did not stop to copy that part and not sure
whether it referred to it as generally so or as in a specific case.

Going by my own experience and considering that i cannot see it
or confirm its origin other than its presence in Samples taken
both from internal as well as external areas, and the fact that
it appears to be able to complete its Cycle both Internally
as well as Externally, i strongly believe it is Both!

The One very puzzling -to me- and still unexplained mystery
is its consistent Trips ‘ In and Out’ of the Genital areas
i.e Anal Canal and Vaginal area and the ‘When’ and ‘Why’
and ‘How Many Times’ in the Cycle – as i cannot confirm
if what comes out goes back in –and possibly returns outside
or stays inside – or if what goes inside stays inside
or comes out again and/or back inside…
A Microchip or Distinguishing Biofilm Colour could prove helpful
for tracking it Lol! …but none available to me other the sensation
and proof of what i can Intercept as soon as i sense it in Motion.

Q2 “is malessia yeast alive”

I am guessing the Reader means
Is Malassezia a Live Creature or a Condition/Symptom
such as Allergy , Dermatitis etc – again guessing.
Yes it is Alive as seen under Digital Microscope
and it does cause a host of Conditions /Symptoms including Dermatitis.

Malassezia on Finger Tips 1-MQ

In Photos above Malassezia on Finger tips in motion
moving constantly, changing shapes, separating into smaller
‘puddles’ then regrouping each time into different shapes.
Disappears under the skin then reappears again.
Its density and appearance changes as it matures.

Q3  “do mallassezzia yeast have legs”

Reader very generous on ll‘s, Ss‘s and Zz‘s 🙂
No, it has no legs… but it often develops Hyphae/Filaments
and during that time it often feels like it crawls on the skin
but the sensation is deceptive because at that stage
it is topical, stationary and ready to start digging into the skin
to obtain blood and does not -cannot- crawl anywhere.

Is there Yeast on my Skin?

Malassezia on Skin or Body-MQ
Q1 “how can i tell if there is yeast on my skin”
Q2  “can you have a malassezia infection in your body”
Q3  “malasezia a parasite”

Practically Every Person has Yeast on their Skin and Body
Top to Toe – Internally and Externally
Not Just Malassezia but other types of Yeast as well.

Malassezia Normal Skin Flora 2- MQ
Most, like Malassezia, are part of Natural Body Flora.
Some are Beneficial to the Body but some, like Malassezia
are opportunistic ‘creatures’  and turn into Pathogens
when something goes wrong with the Immune System
caused by Illness, Stress, Antibiotics, X-Rays,
Chronically Poor Diet, Grief or Bad Relationships, Lol!
-ok that was meant to be a joke … but Divorce is real!-
as many other of Life’s circumstances.

So, Malassezia ‘Technically’ is Neither a Parasite
Nor an Infection as such but when it turns into a Pathogen
its Behaviour and Symptoms resulting,
closely resemble either or both!
It can start a chain of  Symptoms in either predominantly
isolated areas or cause general Problems all over the Body
and the Condition can become chronic
– if not dealt effectively in the early stages –
or cause general Problems all over the Body.

Many Symptoms are often puzzling or confused with other
ailments or causes, especially because many people
do not know much -if anything- about Malassezia.
As to how one can tell if they have a Malassezia “Problem/ Infection”
or it simply lives quietly on their skin
can be determined by Symptoms or Ailments if Pathogenic
or signs if its presence is ‘Silent’ and causing no discernible trouble.

Signs of its Presence if not causing any great Problems
can be detected as the occurrence of

– Dry or Cracked Skin
– Dirty, Black looking Nails for no apparent reason,
– Poorly looking Breaking Nails,
– Sensitive, withdrawn, Red Cuticles,
– Red Itchy Eyes,
– Unexplained Cuts on Hands,
– Non healing Sores
– Restless Leg Syndrome,
– General Restlessness – and many more …

I have described and detailed how i have dealt
with most – if not all – its many Pathogenic Manifestations
in great Detail in  Malassezia Blog and Malassezia Daily Sites.

Malassezia Healing Lesions and Scars on Back

Malassezia Lesion healing 1 -MQ
All Photos in this Entry are simple Phone Camera Shots
neither magnified as when under Microscope nor Enlarged for details
and still easy to see
– Widespread Orange Biofilm
– Red Healing Lesions
– Healed Lesion Scars
The least of my worries back then was whether the Scars would be
permanent – in fact i very much expected they would be –
but the majority have totally cleared and any remaining
are very faint, hardly visible at all.
Great really considering that back then the Lesions were
frequent, large, extended, fairly deep and lasted near 4 weeks
compared to the occasional tiny, pimple size ones that may
sneak up nowadays that usually last for a few days.

Malassezia Healing Blisters under Breast (1)

Below the First of Two major attacks i have suffered throughout

Blisters under Breast 1 -MQ
The Blisters shown above were already in a healing stage.
The initial affected area was much more extended.
The Left side shows the Gray -Drying and Dying- Biofilm.
If Scrapings were examined under Microscope they would reveal
still virulent hyphae ready to create more Blisters if left undisturbed.

Malassezia Healing Blisters under Breast (2)
The Second of the two major attacks.

Blisters under Breast 2-MQ
It was primarily caused by a forced Malassezia relocation
from Scalp due to a Shampoo and another Product change.
Much more severe than the First, quite extended and painful
but this time with the right treatment the healing process was faster
and surprising, it left No trace of the event behind it.

Below stage 2 – on the Recovery

Blisters under Breast 3-MQ
The Redness and Inflammation still strong but Blisters smoothed
and area around it clearing. The hardest part was to keep away
new batches attracted to the inflamed area.

Malassezia Biofilm on Shoulder and Neck

Malassezia on Neck and Shoulder 1 A-MQ
Widespread Biofilm on the Skin making it look dirty
and if layer is thick makes the Skin dry as it dries out
and feels rough to the touch like a desert Lizard.
Some Itchy Redish areas still visible (circled).
If not interrupted have the potential to develop into Bumps
and eventually break out into Lesions.

More on the Legs below

Dry Skin 1- MQ
The Skin looks dirty and distinctly Bumpy in the covered areas
but smooth and lighter where free.
It starts Orange or Semitransparent but turns Gray as it dries
and much  harder to clear off.

                           Malassezia Biofilm on Feet

Malassezia on Feet1- MQ
Much the same as above – areas affected marked with arrows.
Initially it causes a Burning, Itchy sensation, then as the Biofilm
dries and its ready to dig into the skin it feels like it is crawling
on the surface.
At this point it must be scrubbed off before it causes problems.

Malassezia Head to Toe 1A -MQ
                  Malassezia Affecting Eyelashes (1)

Blepharitis 2-MQ
The Eye area Provides many elements vital for Malassezia,
   such as:
Hair Follicles
– Moisture
– Natural Eye Fluids
A naturally preferred Malassezia area  during periods of stress
or diet related dehydration and a refuge for when trying
to control and contain
a Scalp problem bombarding the head
with chemicals and medicated shampoos.
None Kills Malassezia on Impact  -if at all- and therefore forced
to re-locate to another area- Ears and Eyes the two closest ones.
If there is a general weakness there, it is liable to settle
and start a Cycle of Blepharitis.
The photo above  is one testament of such a Cycle
which i have been fighting periodically to this day
– only now i know how to keep it under control
and prevent it causing the problems evidenced above.

Malassezia Affecting Eyebrows 1A-MQ

Starting from the Eyebrow, we can observe parts
                  Thinned out and Missing.
In the Photo below the Top Eyelid is Swollen and Red

Blepharitis 2-MQ

So are the Eyelash beds Top and Bottom.
Particularly noticeable is the total lack of Eyelashes
on the lower part while on the top they are poor
with thinning gaps in between.

Malassezia Affecting Eyelashes (2)

Eyelashes 1 -MQ
Closing the Eyelids can observe the built-up of Malassezia
at the Gritty solidified stage. Very hard to clear it off
and takes time when it has reached this well-embedded stage.
(See earlier Entries for Grit view under Microscope)

Malassezia Affecting Eyelashes (2 -2)

Eyelashes 2-MQ
Eyelid Stretched to maximum for easier view of details.
Top Eyelid shows how densely imbedded is the Grit
-took me a while to realise what it was doing and by discovery time
it was too late for effective clearing – so i concentrated on prevention
and deterrence while gradually clearing the crusty Grit.
The Bottom part shows the scant presence of eyelashes
and looking carefully, several Bumpy areas as indicated by the arrow.

Hair and Scalp 1 - MQ
At the time when my Hair had started falling off
-fast and in clumps, estimating i had only a few days left
to act before going bold – i was in too much distress
to think of taking any photos.
The Photos above are at a Total Recovery stage of Scalp
clear of Redness, Burning, Itch, Bumps and Sores
and A healthy Rich Growth such that the scalp
was not visible through anymore (photo 3)
Back then i used Lethal Drastic Methods
for which i Paid a Price and learned a Lesson
but have maintained control and containment since
with a much healthier way of care and maintenance.

Malassezia Bumps and Lesions on Outer Ear and Face

Bumps on Face - MQ
These Photos above were also from earlier times
when i had suffered repeatedly some really vicious attacks
in the outer part of the Ears and the Crease point at back.
I scrub meticulously there every day to dislodge and interrupt
any attempts of Malassezia settling in the area.
There was also some brief time i had Facial Bumps
and some -but not all- opened into bleeding lesions.
Both areas have been trouble free in recent times
but i have been keeping a vigilant eye.

Malassezia Bumps and Sores on Lips (1)

Sores on Lips1 -MQ
They can be easily mistaken for Cold Sores or Herpes
because they have similar Blister Cluster look, symptoms
and duration and usually strike during Colds, Flu, Fever
which cause dehydration and lowered immunity.
They both last approximately 3 – 4 weeks.
During those times as described above
i find difficult to tell with certainty which one it is
except perhaps that Malassezia, does not stop just there
but spreads well in the peripheral skin area
of mouth, chin and cheeks.

    Toe Nail after Malassezia Attack

Toe Nails View 1-MQ

This Poor Toe has suffered a full decade of Malassezia menace.
The story started years back – a short time after starting
long term Antibiotic Treatment for my Lungs.
Not knowing what it was back then – and for a long – long time
i kept bombarding it with antiseptic Oil antiseptic greasy Creams
Ointments and All the wrong things that Strengthened Malassezia
and aggravated the problem to the point where i lost the entire
nail several times. Typical proverbial behaviour of
‘Keep doing the same thing expecting different results”
but to my defence, there is something warped about the Brain
that believes that Oil somehow can kill everything
even to obvious contrary outcomes and results.
In this instance ‘feeding the enemy’ while ‘killing the victim!’
Eventually i learned what the problem was and was quick
to turn around and discard my misconceptions.
( I know many of my Readers still cannot resist the concept
and impulse of a ‘Bit of Oil’ or  ‘This type of Oil or that…’
Repetition and time will eventually convince…)
Actually this photo is from a latest attack when accidentally
smeared Oil on it during an ‘Oil Experiment’ and allowed it
to stay on overnight been too tired to attend to it properly…
Yes, you read correctly!… Oil Experiment…
( Full Story in Malassezia Blog   )

Accelerated Toe Nail Healing during Treatment

Toe Nails View 4-MQ
Once the wrong treatments were stopped and the right ones applied
the healing was much faster than all previous times, usually taking
many months with long setbacks in between.

Healing Toe Nail protection during Treatment

Toe Nails View 5-MQ
Because most severe and uninterrupted attacks take place at night
when Malassezia is more active and our body in a less alerted state
i always take proactive measures to deter it from settling there
and starting a new lengthy cycle.
During the healing stages i wrapped it with Acidophilus Mix
on a Cotton wad and sealed it with Sports tape.
Now, being completely healthy i often dare leaving it uncovered
even at night but usually sensing activity there i cannot find peace
of mind so i still cover it with a Cotton wad and deterrent agent.
(Noting here that Malassezia is both aerobic and anaerobic
meaning it can survive without oxygen, so covering it with just
band-aid does little to protect – may deter briefly from settling
but the glue on it is also attracting and inviting
so a more active agent is needed. Details in Malassezia Daily

Photo 2 – Cuticle loose and (not clearly visible here) some
new growth of a few millimetres from the root area.
Photo 3 –  Fresh smooth, clean growth covering 2 /3 area
still some partly affected but recovering nail at the top.
I kept cutting when possible to clear and accelerate growth.
Photo 4 –  Fully Recovered – still some Orange affected
clearing out and replaced by new.
Cuticle Restored, closed and tight, doing its job protecting
from Invasion. Brings tears to my Eye, women consistently
punish it by cutting back for the sake of some ill perceived
concept of Beauty – and i know some of you Readers will
hate me for this remark but Malassezia and other Myces
love what you are doing Both to your Finger and Toe Nails
making their entrance so much easier… and then laughing
off all the antiseptic creams and lotions thrown at them
as i did persistently myself for a near decade …
Is Beauty – if it can be called so- worth the trouble
this action may initiate?
Consider this:
How beautiful does a Toe Nail like the one in the first Photo
look like?…
The fungi and Myces do not simply and accidentally                                             find their way there – They LIVE there!
That’s why Nature created a Stopping Door – The Cuticles!…

           Finally Toe Nail Fully Recovered

Toe Nails View 8-2-MQ
The Photo above was taken at night in my Bathroom
with lights on using my low, only 3mp Phone camera.
Obviously, poor lighting produced a greeny- blue background
-actually our white bathtub wall- and also a greeny- bluish hue
on the Cuticle and part of the Nail, as well as on the base of
some of the smaller toes. Initially i was puzzled and thought
there might be some bruising so i checked closer and it looked
quite clear, i pressed and did not feel discomfort or swelling
then i thought the bathtub is bright white, not blue, therefore it
must be the poor lighting and poor camera combination
but i am not dismissing the possibility that the hue on the Toe
might be Gray ( = dead) Malassezia Biofilm
as it does persistently attempt to make a mess out of it, Lol!
One good reason i always protect it at night.

            Malassezia Lurking Unnoticed on Toe

This is my Man’s Toe – at first sight looking nice, clean and tidy.
-except perhaps to the …trained Eye – i.e… Mine! 🙂 that notices
that there is No trace of Cuticles  – and i can assure you
… he does not do the Beauty thing! Lol! 🙂
and Zooming the Photo reveals the Evil Presence around the edges
but in his case remaining unnoticed and uneventful… until!….
A small accident produced blood and inflammation in the area
and the devil quick to the opportunity, attacked and took hold!
I told him to let me attend to it but he wanted to finish the job first
despite warning him by then it might be too late.
And it was… Below is what followed…

Toe Nails View 7-MQ
Within hours the nail was dead and separated from the nail bed.
Fortunately for him he had an Experienced Healer at home 🙂

Photo in the groves of the skin but even the more prominent
solidified Grit collected under the Nails. (Red Arrow)

Malassezia Gray Biofilm under the Nails

Finger Nails View 7-MQ
Gray Sticky Biofilm, looks like Nails are dirty and hard to clean.
This Nail belongs to my Man, he washes his hands like a beaver
they always look immaculately clean and he is neither a tool man
nor a gardener so the Gray view was a surprise.

Malassezia Corrosion of Nails and Cuticles (1)

Finger Nails View 2-MQ
Even now looking at the Photo on the left
find it hard to see these nails as not clean and reasonably healthy.
The cuticles are on the thin side but intact
and no marks visible on the Nails but appearance is deceptive.

Malassezia Corrosion of Nails and Cuticles (2)

Nail Corrosion-1 MQ
Viewing under digital Microscope the revelation was shocking!
Serious Corrosion of Nail edge, Cuticle side and Nail bed red
with blood blisters.

                        Malassezia on Finger Tip (1)

Malassezia Fungus on Finger Tips 1-MQ
Had it not been the Devil that it is, it would have been an absolutely
fascinating experience watching it Alive and moving constantly
and changing shapes, under Digital Microscope.
These white spots in the Photo above and the ones to follow below
were shimmering much like the sunlight keeps moving constantly
on the surface of the Sea.
A few seconds, then sensing the light or heat of the Microscope
ducked quickly under the skin surface and disappeared.
A few more seconds then started to reappear – checking?-
repeated a couple of times then all fell quiet as in photo below

                           Malassezia on Finger Tip (2)

Malassezia on Finger Tips 1-MQ
Several Days, different Samples, different Fingers,
Same Behaviour of Hide and Seek with the D Microscope.
Perhaps that’s what it does all the time anyway…

            Malassezia on Finger Tip (3)

Malassezia Fungus on Finger Tips 2-MQ
Like small semitransparent paddles, appearing, disappearing
changing shapes – separating, re-uniting but never the same…

                      Malassezia on Skin near Eye

Malassezia Biofilm Colour1-MQ
The same Liquid, semitransparent quality and behaviour
was also caught at a different time – more recently– photo above.
This Liquid, same as in the Eye, when rubbed between fingers
until dry, reveals tiny gritty particles –Spores?
(See Earlier Entries in these Series for view under Bio Microscope)

                           Malassezia on Finger Tip (4)

Malassezia Fungus on Finger Tips 3-MQ
Closer examination of the Photo revealed the presence
of a small Spore Beaded Hypha – with the potential of developing
into a Scratch Line if not removed or perished (as Below)
